Marge Gonzalez is completing her first year as our VP for Membership. She is a retired French teacher, who lives in Cape Coral with her daughter Tammy and her grandson Paul. She has been a UU since 1983 and a member of UUCFM since 2003. She was twice the DRE of this congregation and was liaison to LIFE when it formed and now is assuming that role again. Her previous congregation was Community Church of New York, where she was chair of the Board for several years before the move to Florida. She is an avid reader and maintains a website (margegonzalez.net) where she has reviewed about 160 books. She is the widow of Donald Routh, whom she met at UUCFM. She has written a memoir about her experience raising Tammy, who came to her from the foster care system, called Body in Space: My Life with Tammy.
