Drum Song: The Art & Spirit of Drumming

Date: Friday March 28 – Saturday March 29

Hand drumming workshop led by nationally acclaimed artist and teacher Ubaka Hill for persons of all ages and skill levels. Ubaka’s vision and intention is to facilitate and inspire personal transformation, empowerment, healing and joy with music that moves you.

When: Friday 7-9:00 pm. Saturday 9:00 – 4:30. Concert Saturday night 8-10 pm
Cost: $150 adults, $115 for students. Includes meals and concert Saturday night. Registration required. Scholarships available

Percussion Concert: Beyond the Wind

Date: Saturday March 29

Details: Ubaka Hill composer, songwriter and recording artist weaves percussion, poetry and song to inspire her audiences to sing and dance with her. Ubaka plays her signature "Ube" drum, djembe drum and various other percussion instruments of different cultures. Her music is inspired by her appreciation of celtic, jazz, latin, african, shamanic, folkloric, aboriginal and contemporary music.
When: 8:00 – 10:00 pm
Cost: $25 adults, $15 students

Spring Equinox Celebration

Date: Wednesday March 19 6:00 pm Location: Hobart Hall

The Spring Equinox, also termed Ostara, is a time to celebrate the arrival of Spring, the renewal and rebirth of Nature herself, and the coming lushness of Summer. It is at this time when light and darkness are in balance, yet the light is growing stronger by the day. At this time we think of renewing ourselves. We renew our thoughts, our dreams, and our aspirations. We think of renewing our relationships. Join us in as we celebrate renewal and new growth. Wine and cheese at 5:30 Potluck dinner 6:00 celebration to follow dinner.

What is CUUPS?

CUUPS (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans): We are those who follow an earth-based spirituality within Unitarian Universalism.
